Sama School of Kathak offers Kathak dance classes for children and adults across Surrey and Greater London. The school is founded and led by Ms.Suruchi Saxena — BA from Bhartiya Vidyapeeth, PUne, a Kathak Visharad, PRSSV faculty member and examiner, and senior disciple of Guru Alpana Sengupta MBE and Guru Amruta Paranjpe, leading kathak exponent from Pune, India.
Classes run in small groups so that every student receives personal attention, genuine feedback, and the kind of focused teaching that makes a real difference.

Suruchi Saxena brings over a decade of performing and teaching experience to every class. She holds a Kathak Visharad — the highest classical diploma — from Prayag Sangeet Samiti, Allahabad, and is a graduate in Kathak from Bharati Vidyapeeth, Pune. As a faculty member and examiner with PRSSV Institute of Performing Arts and Heritage, she brings genuine examination expertise directly into her teaching. Graded Examinations
Sama School is an accredited centre for PRSSV graded examinations — the leading UK board for Indian classical music and dance, with qualifications recognised to national academic standards. Students can progress from Grade 1 through to Grade 8, with UCAS Tariff points available at the higher levels. Examination preparation is woven into classes from the start, so students build both the confidence and the repertoire they need to perform at their best.
Performance at the heart of it
Performing is part of the curriculum at Sama School, not an afterthought. Students take part in regular stage performances and cultural events, from annual showcases to community celebrations.
